Hgh side effects: Senate moves quickly to restrict hgh use amid Major League probe

May 31, 2008 by craig91765

It seems that the recent investigations of performance enhancing drugs in Major League Baseball and the testimony from pitcher’s

Andy Pettitte and Cy young award winner Roger Clemons to the the Senate has motivated congress to act quickly. Senators Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Chuck Grassley have drafted a bill designed to combat use of human growth hormone by athletes gaining an unfair advantage. Not because of hgh side effects. The bill had to be quickly dropped and altered because it contained language that would restrict the use to others including children who use hgh for growth deficiencies

What is disturbing is the choice of congress to pick hysteria over logic. The move to draft a bill to make hgh illegal is not because of the documented hgh side effects, but because some pro athletes using it as a performance enhancing drug

Hgh side effects: How to determine the best hgh product for you

Human growth hormone products come in a variety of forms. Here is a breakdown of the most effective methods of hgh therapy, the products with the fewest possible hgh side effects as well as those that simply waste your money

Injections

Hgh Injections are by far the most effective form of hgh. These injections are a synthetic form of hgh. In fact, all injectables are a synthetic hgh a technology developed by Choh Hao Li a Chinese-born U.S. biochemist.

Synthetic hgh eliminates this risks of colon cancer that were associated with the earlier version of the drug that used human cadaver pituitary glands. Most pro athletes and movie stars used this form of hgh. the biggest set back to using this form of hgh is cost. hgh therapy can cost as high as $1,500.00 a month

Hgh sprays

There is a growing popularity of sprays as an alternative to costly injections, and if you don’t like needles this sounds like the the most pain free way to go. Sprays are not hgh but are “re-leasers” that stimulate a person’s production of their own hgh. The problem is that they have never proved to work. It seems that hgh cannot penetrate the cell membranes in the mouth.

Tablets

Pills and tablets also act as hgh releasers to trigger a person’s release of hgh production and as a cheaper alternative to the cost of injections. There are some good products that many swear by as an effective and safe (albeit slower acting ) alternative to taking shots

While they are costy, hgh injections will produce the fastest results. all prescribed Injectables are synthetic and reduce the types of hgh side effects that were associated with earlier forms of the drug. even though they are popular now, hgh spays have never proven to work. Pills and tablet work to stimulate one’s own production of hgh and take longer for results to show .

Despite possible HGH side effects, the drug is very popular

HGH side effects: Rocky’s viewpoint

Despite the purported HGH side effects that may exist, HGH is very popular. All you have to do is look at any of the Internet marketing ads to see why. With promises to lose fat, gain muscle, improve sex life, sleep quality, vision and memory; restore hair growth and color; strengthen the immune system; normalize blood sugar; increase energy; and turn back your body’s biological clock. HGH looks like the “The Fountain of Youth” and if you’re a baby boomer this message can be overwhelming.

“HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing . Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed. Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older. Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life. Mark my words. In 10 years it will be over the counter.” Sylvester Stallone.

While HGH has been used to aid the growth deficiency in children , it wasn’t until a study that was reported

that has caused widespread interest in in the New England Journal of Medicine, Volume 323 July 5, 1990 Number 1done by Dr. Daniel Rudman HGH for adults.

The study was conducted to understand the effect of HGH on men between the ages of 61 to 81 over a six month period who’s growth hormone levels (IGF-1) were low. 21 men were divided into 2 groups, 12 were given synthetic human growth hormone and 9 recieved no treatment. At the end of the study those that received treatment saw their growth hormones rise to a youthful range. The administration of human growth hormone for six months in group 1 was accompanied by an 8.8 percent increase in lean body
mass, a 14.4 percent decrease in adipose-tissue mass, and a 1.6 percent increase in average lumbar vertebral bone density.

Conclusion

Diminished secretion of growth hormone is responsible in part for the decrease of lean body mass, the expansion of adipose-tissue mass, and the thinning of the skin that occurs in old age. After a 12 month observation all of the men in both groups remain healthy. there were no HGH side effects While the benefits of using HGH is promising, expecting to grow hair on your already bald head or burning fat without exercising is unrealistic.

Steroid and HGH side effects: The untold story

The other side of the story

Unless you have been living in a cave for the last few years you’ve heard of the serious steroid and hgh side effects. As frequently evidenced by local, state and national officials nationwide, Americans rarely choose logic when they can opt for hysteria as far as drugs are concern.

In light of the media excess, the public pronouncements, and the whaling in Washington, you could assume that the medical and scientific evidence of the dangerous health risk of steroid and hgh side effects are overwhelming

In recent years Congress has held numerous hearings on performance enhancing drugs, discussing the unfair advantages that using them gives, saving the children, and the inevitable health problems that they will certainly cause.

But seldom do you ever hear the other side of the argument. The fact is, medical and scientific evidence may suggest something that most would find alarming

Are steroids and hgh dangerous for kids? Yes. Are they also dangerous for healthy adult men
There are simply no long-term definitive studies that show any health risk to healthy adult men?
Despite a lack of any solid evidence, in 1990 Congress passed the Anabolic Steroid Control Act making steroids a schedule III substance despite the objections of the American Medical Association, the Department of Health and Human Services and the D.E.A.

What you should know about HgH side effects

Steroids and HGH in the news

In recent years the dangers of steroid and hgh side effects has been in the news. New York Yankee Pitcher Andy Pettitte admitted to using human growth hormone (hgh) to recover from an elbow injury. Gold medalist Sprinter Marion Jones pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about using steroids. San Diego Charger linebacker Shawne Merriman was suspended for four games during the 2006 football season for using steroids.

These news stories are usually followed with harsh commentaries about the tragic results that accompany using steroids and HGH, and there is usually never any distinction between the two ( let alone the difference between using and abuse) The effects of abusing steroids has been well documented. From water retention, acne ,aggresion (roid rage) to heart disease, impotence, liver tumers and kidney failure. Those that use steroids are usually bodybuilders and competitive athelites. The same just does not hold true with HGH

Just to be perfectly clear, like any drug using HGH can have side effects especially when there is no medical supervision. Those that are possible are hyertension, retention of fluids in the extremities. Joint pain has been reported in limited instances as has some isolated instances of gynecomastia (which represents an enlargement of the male mammary glands) have been noted. However these side effects may be isolated cases because there is no difinitive research that demonstrates these side effects.

While HGH and steroids have been lumped together the fact of the matter is that there isn’t enough data that has been researched to suggest that there is any wide spread major side effects. Here is a great read about the good hgh side effects that have been documented
